EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP ‘The Director’s Perspective: How to Create a Documentary?’

In the documentary “Tell Them About Us” (2024), Rand Beiruti captures the journey of a group of girls transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. It could have been just another coming-of-age film if the girls hadn’t all left their homelands in search of a better tomorrow. How did the director come up with the idea? What does the initial brainstorming process entail? Can teens turn their own ideas into short scripts for documentaries?
